StartSmart orientation
StartSmart is a three-day, in-person orientation and welcome event designed to help you settle into university life.
During StartSmart, you will learn about campus culture, hear from student panels, and explore key resources that will support you during your studies. You will also have opportunities to learn about finances, student roles and opportunities, meet peer mentors, and start building friendships with other students.
You will meet your programme team and classmates, take part in campus tours, and connect with support services such as the Students’ Association and Wellbeing.
Some sessions are tailored to support international students studying in the UK, including guidance on important compliance requirements.
Students also complete the StartSmart for Milestones module on iLearn and carry out other short preparation tasks to get ready for their first weeks.
