We’re thrilled to announce that two of our Computing students have been named finalists in the prestigious WorldSkills UK National Finals 2025.
Abobakr Al Ammari and Dave Wolgan, both studying for a Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) in Computing at our London campus, will represent Arden University in the Network Infrastructure Technician competition this November in Wales.
This elite competition challenges participants to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex ICT networks, primarily using Cisco technologies - under timed, high-pressure conditions. Abobakr and Dave earned their place among the top 8 finalists in the UK, demonstrating not only technical excellence but also the professionalism and resilience developed through their studies and the Cisco Networking Academy programme.
WorldSkills is a global movement that celebrates and elevates vocational skills through competition, bringing together top young talent across industries like IT, engineering, and the creative sectors.
This year’s success continues a strong track record for Arden. In 2024, our student Gabriel brought home a Gold Medal in the Cyber Security category, highlighting the exceptional quality of both our students and academic support team.
We’re incredibly proud of Abobakr and Dave for their achievement and grateful to lecturer Suresh Sureshkumar, whose ongoing support has helped guide them to this stage.
We’ll be cheering them on in the finals this November, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next.
